AS Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has hailed Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah as a "champion" after the player's return to scoring ways in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Sassuolo.
The Pharaohs winger ended a seven-match goal drought in the Italian Serie A; putting his team ahead after just 11 minutes.
"I think he is a great lad who only needs a little enthusiasm to return to his best," Spalletti told Sky Sport after the match.
"Tonight he made a great goal, he is a champion," the former Sampdoria and Udinese coach added.
Salah's goal is his first since finding the net in Roma's 2-1 victory over former club Fiorentina, where he spent the second half of last season on loan, in October.
The 23-year old Salah, who spent a month on the sidelines due to injury late last year, has scored six Serie A goals and one UEFA Champions League goal so far this season.
Roma currently lie at fourth place in the Serie A table with 41 points, nine behind leaders Napoli.
