Egypt's Ahly announce squad for Young Africans match, seven excluded

Ahly's Dutch manager Martin Jol has announced a 19-man squad for Wednesday's African Champions league match against Tanzania's Young Africans.

The Cairo giants will host the Tanzanians at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab stadium in the second leg of the prestigious tournament's round of 16. The first leg ended with a 1-1 draw 10 days earlier in Tanzania.

Defencee duo Bassem Ali and Mohamed Naguib and midfielders Saleh Gomaa, Ahmed Hamdy and Ahmed El-Sheikh and striker John Antwi were all excluded from the squad for technical reasons.

Goalkeeper Ahmed Adel is also missing due to an injury.

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Mosaad Awad

Defenders: Ahmed Fathi, Saad Samir, Hussein El-Sayed, Ahmed Hegazy, Ramy Rabia, Mohamed Hani, Sabry Rahil

Midfielders: Ramadan Sobhi, Abdallah El-Said, Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour, Moemen Zakareya, Walid Soliman, Amr El-Sulaya

Strikers: Amr Gamal, Malick Evouna, Emad Meteb
