Ahly coach Martin Jol said he is thinking of how to keep at bay the likes of Mohamed Salah and Francesco Totti when his side play AS Roma in a friendly game at Abu Dhabi's Hazza bin Zayed Stadium on Friday.
Both sides meet in their third friendly in more than 15 years, with Ahly claiming a 2-1 victory in 2002 and Roma securing a 3-0 win in 2008. Both matches were played in Cairo.
"I like this country [UAE]; I came here before when I was in charge of Tottenham Hotspur and Hamburg," Dutch coach Jol said during a news conference on Thursday.
"We are looking forward to producing a fine display before our fans. I promise them that we will have great game.
"For now I'm only thinking of tomorrow's game and how to deal with Roma stars like Totti, Salah and other players."
Jol was full of praise of Egypt winger Mohamed Salah, who has been one of Roma's best performers since joining last summer.
He also lauded former Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido and Ahly skipper Hossam Ghaly, who both played under his guidance at Spurs.
"Arab football has many talented players like Salah, Mido and Ghaly," Jol said.
"I see Hossam Ghaly as the best player in North African countries."
