New Ismaily coach Hossam Hassan has enjoyed a dream start with a 4-0 rout of Beni Suef in the 16-team round of the Egyptian Cup on Tuesday.

Ahmed El-Gamal, 44, Ahmed Ali, 45, Godwin Ndubuisi, 57, and Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Gresha, 75, sealed an easy win for the Dervishes in their first game under the helm of their new coach Hossam Hassan.

The result could have been even bigger if Hosni Abd-Rabou wasn’t denied in the penalty spot.

Hassan gave some action to his new signing, the Algerian U-23 playmaker Amir Sayoud, who is on a season-long loan coming from Ahly.

Ismaily will face the winner of a game between Arab Contractors and Talae El-Geish, who are set to play on Wednesday.

In Alexandria, a second-half goal from international striker Ahmed Hassan Mekki, 60, was enough for Haras El-Hodoud to sink their city rivals Smouha and reach the last eight, to face the winner of a game between Ittihad of Alexandria and Al-Nasr.
