TP Mazembe striker Alain Dioko kaluyituka has denied speculations linking him with a move to Egyptian giants Ahly in January.
“I haven’t been contacted by anyone from Ahly. I just received offers from Gulf and European clubs,” the African champions’ star striker told UAE-based newspaper El Emarat El Youm on Monday.
Some reports in the Egyptian media have suggested that Ahly may be chasing the services of the in-form Congolese striker.
The 23-year-old international player hit stardom during the FIFA Club World Cup and was awarded the Silver ball as the second best player of the tournament, behind Cameroon and Inter striker Samuel Eto’o.
“With all my respect I will only consider European offers and I would love to play in the Spanish league that is currently the best in the World,” he added.
Ahly are in the market for a top quality striker as they have been struggling throughout the first half of the season, following the departure of Emad Meteb and Angolan international striker Flavio Amado.
The Cairo giants have been linked with several African strikers, namely Zambian international Given Singuluma, Congolese Mulota Kabangu and Kaluyituka, all of which play with Mazembe.
