Ahly captain Hossam Ghaly has been ruled out of El-Entag El-Harby game in the Egyptian Premier League on 19 November due to injury.

"Ghaly suffers a hamstring muscle strain and will need one week to 10 days for full recovery and a return to regular trainings," the team's doctor Khaled Ali stated on the club's official website.

The 34-year-old midfielder, who suffered his injury during Saturday's training, has said that he trusts the abilities of his substitutes.

Ghaly, who started at Ahly in 2000, has played with other clubs abroad including Tottenham Hotspur, Lierse, Derby County and Feyenoord.

He is currently out of the Egyptian national team squad – under the helm of coach Hector Cuper – which has a crucial World Cup qualifier Sunday against rivals Ghana.

The record holders of 38 league trophies, Ahly are at the top of the table with 20 points from eight games, with six wins and two draws.
