Five memorable goals for Abou-Treika

Striker Mohamed Abou-Treika has scored decisive goals for Ahly and the Egyptian national team

 1- Egypt vs Ivory Coast (2006 Nations Cup final):

Abou-Treika converted the penalty which gave Egypt a 4-2 penalty shootout win over Ivory Coast after 90 goalless minutes.

He admitted afterwards that he did not know he was taking Egypt's decisive spot-kick.

2- Ahly vs Sfaxien (2006 Champions League final):

A last-gasp volley from Abou-Treika gave Ahli a memorable Champions League triumph at the expense of Tunisian side Esperance.

The Cairo giants won the title following a 2-1 aggregate win.

3- Ahly vs Club America (2006 Club World Cup):

Abou-Treika neatly exchanged passes with Angolan striker Flavio to fire a low shot home in Ahly's game against Mexican outfit Club America in the 2006 Club World Cup.

His strike gave Ahly a 2-1 victory and a remarkable third-place finish in the annual tournament, which was held in Japan.

4- Ahly vs Zamalek (2007 Egyptian Cup final):

Ahly were on the verge of surrendering the 2007 Egyptian Cup title to arch-rivals Zamalek, but Abou-Treika struck with three minutes remaining to force extra-time after a 2-2 draw.

The Red Devils eventually won 4-3 to lift the trophy and complete the domestic double.

5- Egypt vs Cameroon (2008 Nations Cup final):

Abou-Treika rounded off a neatly-worked counter attack to score the sole goal as Egypt defeated Cameroon 1-0 in the Nations Cup final.

He ran onto the area to receive a pass from Mohamed Zidan and notch home with aplomb from inside the area.
