Zamalek are set to face Talae El-Geish in the 27th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday, a week before kicking off their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
"The El-Geish match is very important. It's a good warm-up ahead of very tough domestic and continental games," the Cairo-based club's coach Ihab Galal was quoted as telling players during training.
The Whites suffered a 1-0 loss to El-Geish in the 10th matchday of the Egyptian Premier league last January before the hiring of coach Galal.
Zamalek will launch their Confederation Cup bid on 7 March away in Ethiopia against Welayta Dicha in the round of 32.
Galal demanded that his full squad focus and do their best in the game and win all their games.
With no hope of winning the current season's trophy, Zamalek are currently second in the league table with 48 points, 19 behind rivals Ahly.
All of the squad's players are confirmed fit and ready for the game, except for Ayman Hefny and Abdallah Gomaa who will be sidelined for rest.
The title holders Ahly are meeting El-Dakhelya Tuesday at 18:00 in the same round.
