Ahly coach Patrice Carteron dropped Marwan Mohsen, Mido Gaber, and Amr El-Sulaya from his 23-man list for the game against Horoya of Guinea on Friday in the first leg of African Champions League quarterfinals due to injuries.
International striker Mohsen will miss the trip after sustaining a thigh injury during Egypt’s game against Niger last Saturday in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Winger Gaber is also suffering from a hamstring injury while instrumental midfielder Amr El-Sulaya hasn’t recovered yet from a knee injury suffered against Kampala City last month.
The eight-time African Champions will travel to Guinea on Monday ahead of the game, while the return leg will be in Cairo on 22 September.
