Ahly coach Patrice Carteron has expressed his confidence about his team's ability to book a place in the CAF Champions League final when they take on Algerian giants ES Setif in the tournament's semifinals second leg on Tuesday.

"Ahly is ready to face ES Setif as the team arrived in Algeria to achieve a positive result," Carteron told the post game's press conference on Monday.

The Red Devils won the first leg against ES Setif 2-0 in Cairo earlier this month.

"We know that we will face a tough opponent, who play well at home and make use of the fans attendance, but Ahly still have the ability to return to Cairo with a victory," Carteron said.

Meanwhile, Ahly skipper Hossam Ashour confirmed that he and his teammates will do their best to win the continental trophy to reach the Clubs World Cup tournament.

"All the players have promised to perform well when they take on ES Setif as we have all been eager to win the absentee title for five years," Ashour said during the conference.

The winner of Tuesday's clash between Setif and Ahly will qualify to meet either Esperance of Tunisia or C.D. Primeiro de Agosto of Angola in the African Champions League final.
