A mild ankle injury rendered Ahly's winger Walid Soliman unavailable for his side's African Champions League clash against Ethiopia's Jimma Aba Jifar in the second leg of the competition's round of 32.

Ahly won the first leg 2-0 in Cairo and will play the second-leg in Ethiopia on Sunday.

The 34-year-old, who has been Ahly's standout performer this season, missed the Red Devils' 2-0 win over Nogoum in a league game on Sunday.

Ahly are bidding for their ninth Champions League title and their first since 2013.

They reached the final twice in the past two editions but lost to Wydad Casablanca and Tunisia's Esperance in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
