Masry will face an uphill climb to overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit when they meet Burkina Faso’s Salitas in Ouagadougou in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second round on Saturday.

The last season's semi-finalists find themselves under the threat of exiting the competition at the first hurdle after slumping to a surprising loss before their own supporters in Port Said.

Masry have been under-performing since the departure of coach Hossam Hassan to fellow Egyptian side Pyramids FC last October.

The club has recently named Ihab Galal as  they are desperate to arrest a slump in form.

They are currently 12th in the Egyptian Premier League table.
