A confident Ahly will be looking to overcome Enppi in a delayed league game at Petro Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

Ahly gained a huge dose of confidence after thrashing Simba of Tanzania 5-0 in the CAF Champions League on Saturday.

Saturday's win saw a dazzling performance from Ahly players, especially in the first half, and the Cairo giants aim to maintain their rhythm against Enppi on Tuesday.

After rebuilding the team in the winter transfer window, Ahly appeared stronger than in the first half of the season and their new signings have helped the team regain its place among the league table’s top four.

Ahly are now third on the league table with 33 points, 12 points behind leaders Zamalek, who played two matches more.

Coach Martin Lasarte has named his list for the Enppi clash, which saw the return of Ramadan Sobhi, who missed the Simba clash after recovering from a mild muscle injury.

"Ahly are always looking for wins. The Enppi clash will not be easy, but we are determined to win the game, especially as there is no room to drop in points as we are looking to advance to the table summit," Ahly's football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz told reporters on Monday.

On the other hand, struggling Enppi will have a tough mission against Ahly given the recent performance of the Cairo giants.

Enppi Coach Ali Maher, who is a former Ahly player, said that his team will be desperate to earn a positive result against Ahly to improve their status on the league table.

Enppi lie 14th on the league table with 21 points and they do not have the luxury to drop more points as the club is on the edge of the dropping zone.

"We will be looking for a win given our critical position on the league table," Ali Maher told reporters on Monday.

"The game will be very tough but my players are ready for the match," he said.
