Ahly midfielder Moataz Eno expressed his delight at joining Smouha club on a six-month loan contract.

“I have received a call from my friend Mohamed Fadl [former Ahly striker currently playing in Smouha] before I reached an agreement with coach Ghareeb to move to the Alexandrian club,” Eno told Ahram Online.

“I am proud to join a team led by big coaches Shawky Gharib and Hamada Sadky,” Eno added.

Smouha technical staff used to assist former Egypt manager Hassan Shehata inspiring the Pharaohs to win three-successive African Cup of Nations titles.

The 27-year old player who is engaged with Egyptian champions, Ahly, till the end of 2013, chose to leave on a loan deal as he is out of favour with Ahly coach Manuel Jose.

Eno was supposed to move to Maqassa before the move collapsed due to financial issues.

“I will join Thursday’s training session with my new teammates in Smouha,” Eno concluded.
