Despite their previous refusal, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have officially allowed Ahly on Sunday to host Mamelodi Sundowns in the African Champions League at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab stadium next Saturday.

The Reds will be hosting the South African champions in the return match of the Champions League quarter finals.

CAF recently requested to move the game for another venue due to the current bad bitch at Borg El-Arab that already hosted many domestic and continental games this season.

However, Ahly insisted to play Saturday's match at the Alexandria-based stadium; as all its previous continental matches were played at the same venue that secures a huge number of supporters in the stands.

Sundowns hammered Ahly 5-0 in the first leg at home on Saturday to virtually end the Cairo giants' hopes to pursue a ninth African Champions League title.

Ahly, who reached the finals in the two previous years but lost on both occasions, will be eyeing a miracle to go in the return leg.
