Zamalek were given a much-needed boost after Moroccan striker Khalid Boutaib, who was originally deemed doubtful for the Confederation Cup final, made their squad for the anticipated clash at home to RS Berkane on Sunday.

The 32-year-old was named in the roster after shaking off a knee injury he picked up in an Egyptian Premier League game against Ismaily last month.

His return could not be timelier after Omar El-Said, the other out-and-out frontman in Zamalek's squad, earned a second yellow card in the final first-leg at Morocco's Berkane last Sunday that will rule him out of the title decider.

The White Knights will also miss influential Tunisian right-back Hamdi Nagguez due to automatic suspension.

Zamalek will be looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit when they host Berkane in Alexandria, having conceded a last-gasp goal that ended their impressive run of four successive clean sheets away from home in Africa's secondary club competition.

The Cairo giants won the lucrative African Champions League five times, only second to Ahly's record of eight crowns, but have never lifted the Confederation Cup trophy.
