Egyptian Premier League outfit Pyramids FC announced Monday the signig of Frenchman Sebastien Desabre to become the new head of the team.

The French coach will begin his mission with Pyramids FC starting in the new season, after the departure of former coach Ramon Diaz who led the team to third place in the Egyptian Premier League table and helped them to qualify for their first continental participation in the CAF Confederations Cup.

"The work environment in Egypt is brilliant, I am here to win trophies and acieve titles," Sebstien Desabre told the contracts' signing press conference.

Desabre will join Pyramids after leading Uganda national team in the current Africa Cup of Nations, where he made it to round of 16, after occupying second place in Group A with four points. The Cranes lost to the Teranga Lions 1-0.

This will not be the first time the French coach appear in the EPL,  as he coached Ismaily in July 2018. He led the team to finish second after 16 matches during the 2017-2018 season: won in 11 games, tied in 4 games, and lost in a single game only.

"When I was in charge of Ismaily, my target was to win the Egyptian Premier League title. It is important that I reach the same goal with the Pyramids,"

"I will do my best to win the league title and the African Confederations Cup title," the former Uganda coach added
