Egyptian club Ittihad of Alexandria got a first leg advantage after beating Alarabi of Kuwait 1-0 away in the Arabian Champions Cup (Mohamed VI Champions Cup) round of 32 on Monday.

Striker Khaled Kamar scored the match's only goal from a penalty on minute 49 to boost the coastal side chances ahead of the second leg on 27 September in Alexandria.

Ittihad were eliminated from last year's edition after their loss to Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal in the quarter final.
