Egyptian Premier League side Maqassa have announced the signing of Zamalek's playmaker Ayman Hefny for three seasons without disclosing the financial details.
"The negotiations with Zamalek's management to sign Ayman Hefny reached 25 days as some of the contract's items were not familiar for the two sides, then finally we managed to get the player's signature," said a statement by Maqassa on Sunday.
"The deal officially finished after a call between Maqassa and Zamalek's chairmen and the two sides concluded the deal."
The 33-year-old Hefny, who started his football career with Maqassa, joined Zamalek in the 2014 season from Talae El-Geish. He made 133 appearances with the Whites in five seasons, scoring 15 goals as well as making 31 assists.
Maqassa, who finished the Egyptian Premier League last season in sixth place, are bidding for an advanced place in the team's table ranking when the new season starts in the mid of September.
