Ittihad of Alexandria defeat Alarabi 2-0, reach Arabian Champions Cup round of 16

Egyptian side Ittihad of Alexandria reached the Arabian Champions Cup round of 16 after defeating Alarabi of Kuwait 2-0 in the second leg of the competition's round of 32 at Alexandria's Borg Al-Arab stadium on Thursday.

Striker Khaled Kamar opened the scoring for the hosts on minute 17 while Ivorian winger Razaq Cisse doubled the lead with ten minutes remaining.

Ittihad of Alexandria have already won the first leg 1-0 in Kuwait, two weeks earlier to advance to the next round with a 3-0 win on aggregate.

The opponent of the Alexandria's based-club in the next round has not defined yet.

Last term Ittihad of Alexandria reached the competition's quarters before losing to Saudi giants Al-Hilal.
