Ahly's goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawi will be available for the African Champions League match against Sudanese side Al-Hilal Omdurman next week, while the final situation of winger Ramadan Sobhi isn't determined yet according to football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz.

The Reds will travel to Sudan on Thursday ahead of Saturday's anticipated match against Al-Hilal in the final round of the prestigious tournament group stage.

"El-Shennawi is ready to travel with the squad as medical scans revealed that the injury that he picked in the match against Etoile Sahel isn't a serious one," Abdel-Hafiz was quoted as saying by Ahly's official website on Tuesday.

The Cairo giants boosted their hopes of reaching the last eight of the Champions League after beating Tunisia's Etoile Sahel 1-0 in the 5th round of Group B games late on Sunday.

Ahly are at the top of a tight Group B with 10 points, one ahead of Etoile and Sudanese giants Al-Hilal, with one match remaining in the group phase.

In Saturday's match, Ahly could be boosted by the return of influential winger Ramadan Sobhi who missed recent matches due to a muscular injury.

"Sobhi is getting better. He participated in a part of Monday's training session and he will be reevaluated to take a final decision regarding his participation against Al-Hilal," explained Abdel-Hafiz.

Ahly only need to draw at Al-Hilal's Omdurman fortress in their final match next week to qualify for the quarter-finals. A win will see them advance as the group leaders regardless of the outcome of the other match between Etoile and Zimbabwe's Platinum.
