Masry Chairman Samir Halabeya said team coach Ehab Galal will continue with the team despite losing against Gouna 2-1 on Wednesday in the 15th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
"Galal will continue with us. We didn't receive anything regarding his resignation," Halabeya told Filgoal sports website.
"We will hold a board meeting to discuss the status of the team, but Galal is still the coach.
"Our results in the first half of the last season were worse, but we finished the league in fourth place," the Masry chairman stressed.
The coastal club is now in 11th place in the Egyptian Premier League standings with 16 points after playing 13 matches, and succeeded in qualifying to the knockout stage of the Confederation of African Football Cup as second of Group A with nine points.
Former Zamalek coach Galal led Masry in 44 games, of which he won 21, tied in 13, and lost in 10.
