4' What a chance for Ahly! Junior Ajayi robs Zamalek left-back Mohamed Abdel-Shafi on the edge of the area and goes clear. His angled shot is blocked by the legs of keeper Mohamed Abou-Gabal and a follow-up effort from Geraldo hits the side netting.

16:00 Ahly coach Rene Weiler announced the super Cup match against Zamalek is a very important game and it is totally different than other matches in the Egyptian League and the African Champions League.

15:30 Zamalek boss Patrice Carteron said that his team have had a tough week after returning from Qatar to Egypt then travelling to the UAE, but at the end Zamalek are ready for the important match.
