Egypt’s Ahly will host Moroccan rivals Wydad de Casablanca at Cairo Stadium in the return match of the African Champions League semi-final, the club announced on Saturday.
“CAF officially informed us that the return match against Wydad on 23 October will be played at Cairo’s International Stadium,” Ahly said on its website.
Wydad are scheduled to host Ahly at the Mohamed V Stadium on Saturday at 21:00 Cairo local time (GMT +2), while the second leg match was initially reported to be played at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium.
The Cairo giants are bidding for their nintg Champions League title and the first since they claimed the tournament's trophy in 2013, while Wydad who won the 2017 edition are bidding for their third title.
The Red Devils have already secured their fifth consecutive title and their 42nd-ever Egyptian League title weeks ago with an unassailable 20-point lead on second-place Zamalek.
