Ahly's newly signed Congolese striker Walter Bwalya has expressed his happiness with wearing the jersey of the Red Devils, confirming that he is ready to start his mission with the team.

The 25-year-old attacker arrived at the team's headquarters on Sunday after signing a four-year-contract with Ahly, coming from Egyptian Premier League side Gouna.

"I am ready to start my trip with Ahly and I am very enthusiastic for the new experience with the team, as I see it as the most efficient transfer in my football career," Bwalya was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"I am waiting for the fans’ support to introduce a superb performance with the team."

"I am very happy to play under the leadership of coach Pitso Mosimane, who is considered one of the most effective tacticians in Africa," the Congolese star said.

"I know well that coach Mosimane will help me improve my performance as well as introduce a superb performance for Ahly," Bwalya said.

The in-form striker is expected to be a valuable edition to Ahly's squad ahead of the Red Devils' participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, which will take place in Qatar next month.

Bwalya joined Gouna in the summer transfer window of the 2019 season from Zambian side Nkana FC.

The Congolese striker made five appearances with Gouna in the Egyptian Premier League this season, scoring three goals.
