Zamalek Spokesman Essam Salem announced that wantaway Striker Mostafa Mohamed is close to joining Turkish team Galatasaray during the ongoing winter transfer window.
"Zamalek’s management will say the final decision on the fate of the team's striker, Mostafa Mohamed, as the player is close to joining Galatasaray," Salem told a television programme.
"The player will join Galatasaray on loan for one and a half seasons for $2 million with an option for a permanent deal,"
"If the Turkish team wanted to activate the permanent buy option, they will have to pay $4 million," Salem added.
The Cairo giants’ management have recently snubbed an offer from French league team Saint Etienne after statements from the club's chairman that accused some of Zamalek's officials of asking for a commission to complete the deal.
Hereby, Zamalek’s management rubbished these reports despite the French team's apology for the statement.
Mohamed has established himself as one of Zamalek's key players after a series of fine displays last season. He also started the new term in superb fashion, scoring twice in the two opening Egyptian Premier League games.
Galatasaray are third in the Turkish League table with 39 points after playing 20 games so far this season.
