Zamalek’s official Ibrahim Youssef revealed on Thursday that the club management has received an offer from the Liga side Espanyol to sign the White Knights’ forward Mahmoud Abdel-Razek, aka "Shikabala", on loan for one year.
‘’Espanyol offered 1 million euro to sign Shikaballa for a one-year loan but Zamalek’s board will discuss the bid to gain the most profit possible for the club,” Ibrahim Youssef told Ahram Online.
On the other hand Shikabala’s agent Samir Abdel-Tawab said that the player had not received any official offers till now.
The 26-year-old forward was under-fire since his touchline with Coach Hassan Shehata during Zamalek’s 2-0 win over Maghreb Fes in a CAF Champions League’s encounter two weeks ago.
Following the player’s behavior, Shehata left his post as team’s coach temporarily before the club’s management convinced him to return, promising that they will take severe measures against the talented forward.
Zamalek’s board fined Shikabala 25 per cent of his contract with the club (LE2 million) and they decided to loan him for year as result for his behavior toward coach Shehata.
Zamalek’s official Hazem Emam has been trying to resolve the problem between the player and his coach, however, without any success till now.
