Algerian midfielder Amir Sayoud is to be released by Ahly because the club can only register three foreign players and he will not be one of them, according to a statement on the club's official website.
"Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry told Sayoud he is a talented player, but there are a large number of players in his position and therefore he was being released," said the statement on Sunday.
"Ahly's coach asked the player to keep working hard to develop his talent as he could be recalled in the future," the statement added.
The Cairo giants are awaiting offers from clubs eager to acquire the services of the talented 21-year-old.
