Ahly's frontline suffered more injuries during their 2-1 home victory over DR Congo's TP Mazembe in the African Champions League opener on Sunday, with Mohamed Abou-Treika, Emad Meteb and Walid Soliman suffering minor knocks.

"Abou-Treika will undergo medical tests on Wednesday to determine the seriousness of his injury and whether he can join the Olympic squad," according to a statement on the club's official website.

Egypt's Olympic coach, Hany Ramzy, has reached an agreement with Ahly's manager, Hossam El-Badry, to allow the Red Devils trio of Emad Meteb, Mohamed Abou-Treika, and Ahmed Fathi to join the squad that will fly to France on Wednesday.

"Meteb and Soliman also sustained knocks during the Mazembe game and will undergo medical scans," added club doctor Ehab Aly.

Meteb scored Ahly's opener and Gedo scored a last-gasp winner to get Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry off to a winning starting against Mazembe.

Ahly play Zamalek in the African Champions League on 22 July.
