The nomadic forward, who had a long campaign in Europe with clubs like Ajax Amsterdam, Middleborough, Tottenham, Roma and Marseille confirmed that he wants to end his career in his boyhood club Zamalek.

“I am attending the training session with Zamalek to confirm that finances won’t cause any problem,” Mido said.

On the other hand, the 28-year old expressed that he is upset that former Zamalek president Mamdouh Abbass reneged on his promise to fund Mido’s deal, especially during the White club's financial crisis.

“If you are willing to serve Zamalek, you don’t have to be in an official position,” Mido added.

Mamdouh Abbass had confirmed earlier that he will pay Mido’s contract advanced payments before changing his mind and stating that he will cut the value of Mido’s contract from the club’s debts.
