Ahly's Abdel-Fadil suffers hamstring strain

Ahly's defender Sherif Abdel-Fadil could miss the CAF champions League semi-finals due to a hamstring injury

Ahly's doctor Ihab Aly revealed on Sunday that team's defender Sherif Abdel-Fadil suffer a hamstring strain and the player will undergo scans to decide his fate.

Abdel-Fadil exited Sunday's Ahly 1-1 draw against Zamalek in the 25th minute of the game after failing hamstring pain.

"Abdel-Fadil suffers hamstring strain," Ihab Aly told Ahram Online on Sunday.

"Scans will reveal the injury's extent and we hope that it will be a mild injury and he will be fit before the competition's semi-finals,"' he added.

Ahly will face the Nigerian Sun Shine stars between 5 and 7 October in the first leg of the CAF Champions League' semi-finals.

The second leg is scheduled between 19 and 21 of the same month.
