Cairo giants Zamalek have registered striker Mido in the first team squad on Wednesday although they are yet to receive the player's International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
The club reached an agreement with the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to add Mido to their roster without the ITC, which is yet arrive from the 27-year-old's former side Middlesbrough due to the ongoing protests in Egypt.
Mido has also yet to receive his contract dues from Zamalek after the demonstrations forced Egyptian authorities to shut banks for around a week.
After terminating his contract with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam, Mido decided to end his career in Egypt with his boyhood club Zamalek.
Mido spent a six-month loan spell at Zamalek last season but failed to live up to expectations.
Zamalek are on top of the Egyptian Premier League table with 32 points, six ahead of arch-rivals Ahly. The premier domestic competition is halted due to security concerns.
