Egyptian Football Association (EFA) president Samir Zaher will meet with Premier League team officals on Sunday to discuss rescheduling Egyptian Premier League matches. The league has been suspended for more than three weeks with the country in the grips of revolution.

“We will hold a meeting with the clubs’ officials to agree on resuming the competition and arranging some details such as the timing of matches, location and referees,” Zaher told CNN.

All football activities in Egypt were halted after large-scale demonstrations erupted in Egypt on 25 January. The protests ended following former president Hosni Mubarak's resignation but security concerns still hinder the possible resumption of the league.

The Egyptian Cup, the secondary domestic competition, was cancelled but Zaher has denied suggestions that the league might go the same way.
