Ahly midfielder Walid Soliman is confirmed to be sidelined against Tunisian giants C. A. Bizertin in round of 16 of the CAF Champions League scheduled for 20 April.
Due to a knee injury, the 25-year-old player will also miss the Ghazl El-Mahalla league game on Friday amid speculation that it might be delayed for security concerns.
"Soliman will undergo medical scans and will miss the two upcoming games," the Cairo-based club doctor Ehab Ali told their official website.
Defender Rami Rabea, who sustained a calf injury during the 2-0 win over Kenyan side Tusker in round of 32 Sunday, has recovered and joined the squad.
The title holders of both the domestic and the continental championships are missing key players due to injuries, including skipper Hossam Ghaly. They welcomed back left-winger Sayed Moawad last week.
