Three days after their draw with Ittihad of Alexandria, Ismaily were held to another draw by Ittihad El-Shorta on Thursday in Cairo.
El-Shorta took an early lead, thanks to Said Kamal's who opened the scoring in the 3rd minute.
Ismaily's international midfielder Amr El-Soulaya made it 1-1 after converting a penalty in the 57th minute.
Ismaily are now second in Group B with 23 points, seven points behind group leaders Zamalek, who have one match on hand.
Earlier in the day, Gouna's striker Arafa El-Sayed scored twice to give his side a precious 2-0 win over Ghazl El-Mahalla to advance to the sixth place in group A with 11 points.
