Ismaily's poor showing has continued with the coastal club held to a goalless draw on Tuesday by El-Dakhleya in the Egyptian League in Hurghada.

It was the third successive draw for Ismaily in the Egyptian League, with the club failing to clinch a win in its last two games against Ittihad of Alexandria and Ittihad El-Shorta respectively.

Ismaily's last Egyptian League victory dates back to 13 April when the club thrashed Talae El-Gaish 4-0.

The string of poor subsequent performances cost team coach Sabry El-Menyawi his post. El-Menyawi was sacked three days ago following Ismaily's draw with Ittihad El-Shorta.

His successor, however, Mohamed Wahba, failed to realise any apparent improvement, with the Darawiches failing to beat El-Dakhleya in the first game under his leadership.

Ismaily remain second in Group B with 24 points – six points behind leaders Zamalek, who have two matches on hand.
