Ahly will host South Africa's Orlando Pirates at an army-owned stadium in Cairo in the second leg of the African Champions League final on 10 November, Al-Ahram daily newspaper reported on Friday.
Al-Ahram said security officials had given Ahly the green light to stage the game at the Air Defence Stadium as the Red Devils aim to make the most of their home advantage despite security concerns in Cairo.
Security authorities will later announce how many fans would be allowed to attend the match, the report added.
Title holders Ahly have played all of their Champions League group-stage games this season in the Red Sea resort of El-Gouna, some 430 km south of Cairo. Most of the matches were played behind closed doors.
The Cairo giants are seeking to win a record-extending eighth Champions League title while Orlando are eyeing their second triumph in Africa's elite club competition, which they won in 1995.
Both sides clashed in the group stage, with Ahly losing 3-0 in Gouna and drawing 0-0 in Johannesburg.
