Egyptian club Zamalek have settled a dispute with Ivory Coast and Basel midfielder Geoffroy Serey Die, who breached the terms of the contract he signed with the Whites in 2008.
The 29-year-old player signed a 5-year contract with Zamalek before going AWOL to join Swiss club Sion.
In June, FIFA suspended the former ES Sétif player four months after a complaint by Zamalek, who also filed a new complaint with the Court of Arbitration seeking compensation.
A few days later, the Ivorian appealed to the court, which had decided to freeze the suspension until its final decision on the case.
"We have reached an agreement to end the current dispute with Serey Die after he agreed to pay LE300,000 as compensation to the club," Zamalek attorney Nasr Azam told the club's official website on Monday.
"The player will be also obliged to pay the whole costs of the appeal against the court," he added.
