Zamalek captain and goal keeper Abdel-Wahed El-Sayed has been ruled out of his team's clash against Ismaily in the third matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.

The 36-year-old goalie underwent knee surgery in November and started rehabilitation a couple of weeks ago, but won't be fit in time for the game.

Zamalek are second in the Group B and hope to tackle leaders Ismaily, who has so far enjoyed a perfect start with six points in two games.

Ahmed Eid has been dropped from the squad as he is set to move to the Gulf in a few days.

Coach Helmi Toulan will have forward Mohamed Ibrahim at his disposal after he recovered from a minor injury.
