Ahly midfielder Abdallah El-Said will miss Saturday's clash against Tanzania's Young Africans in the CAF Champions League due to injury, the club stated Tyesday.
The Cairo giants will be hosted by the Tanzanian side in the first leg of the tournament's round of 32.
Red Devils coach Mohamed Youssef announced a 21-man squad for the African trip on Tuesday and El-Said was the basic absentee alongside injured duo Sherif Abdel-Fadil and Walid Soliman.
"El-Said will not be available for the trip to Tanzania as he still suffers from a hamstring injury," Ahly said in a statement on its official website.
According to the club's physician, Ehab Ahly, the player will be ready to take part with eight-time African Champions League winners Ahly when they host Young Africans in the second leg on 9 March.
Ahly will travel to Tanzania on a high note as they extended their African Super Cup domination to six titles after claiming a thrilling 3-2 win over Tunisia's Sfaxien at Cairo Stadium last Thursday.
Ahly's travelling squad:
Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekrami, Ahmed Adel, Mosaad Awad
Defenders: Wael Gomaa, Mohamed Naguib, Rami Rabie, Saadeddin Samir, Ahmed Fathi, Sayed Moawad, Ahmed Nabil 'Manga', Ahmed Shedid
Midfielders: Hossam Ashour, Shehabeddin Ahmed, Mahmoud Hassan, Ahmed Shokry
