The Egyptian national team's technical staff, under the leadership of coach Shawky Gharib, has demanded an earlier start to the next season of the Egyptian Premier League.
The Pharaohs' managers want the new season to kick-off in mid-August, while the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) Competitions Committee announced earlier that league play will start in mid-September.
Egypt are playing Senegal on 6 September in the African qualifiers to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
"The association is discussing the request from the national team's management," said Tharwat Swailum, the EFA's executive manager.
