During Sunday's urgent meeting with his team's players following the goalless draw with Sudan, Egypt Olympic team tactician Hani Ramzy did not hide his disappointment regarding his team's performance.

The 42-year-old pointed to the Pharaohs’ poor performance during the second half, as they were close to losing the game.

"Khartoum's game is only the first bit: the second leg will be in Egypt" Ramzy backs his players in the meeting and encourages them to do their best in the second leg in Egypt.

"There is no room for mistakes when we host Sudan later this month in the second leg if we want to be part of the last qualifying round this December," he added.

The second leg is expected to be played Saturday 18 June in Haras El Hodoud Stadium in Alexandria.

Egypt is still looking for their first Olympic Games qualification since 1992 in Barcelona.
