RELIVE: Egypt v Chad (2018 World Cup qualifiers)

90+3 The referee blows the final whislte, Egypt qualify for the group stage at the expnese of minnows Chad.

88' Egypt moving the ball around, with the match already over with a 4-1 aggregate score.

84' Moemen replaces Kahraba..

82' Koka is withdrawn with Amr Gamal wheeled on.

78' Koka misses the target from the near post following a cross from Gaber.

75' Amr Warda comes in for Fathi for Egypt's first substitution.

75' El-Saied plays a superb through ball to Fathi down the right, but the latter again misses the target four his fourth wasted chance!!

71' Gaber displaying how dangerous he becomes when he pushes forward into the box, but the Pharaohs fail to find the net.

67' Fathi spurns his third chance in the space of two minutes, with each time he is being set up by Kahraba..

66' WHAT A CHANCE!!! Kahraba plays a silky through pass to Mostafa Fathi who breaks clear before seeing his chipped effort go wide!!

63' The tempo of the game have lessened now..

60' Egypt on the attack now..

55' Kahraba sees a strike blocked by the diving keeper but the referee inexplicably whistles for what seems to be a handball.

51' El-Saied plays a good ball to Koka inside the area, but the latter sees a weak shot blocked by the keeper.

46' Abanga replaces Mbaiam for Chad.

The second half begins.

45+1 The ref blows the half-time whistle.

45' The referee gives one minute of stoppage time

40' Koka, again unmarked, heads home comfortably from close range following Rahil's cross from the left. 

40' GOOOOOAAALLL!!!! Koka scores the fourth!!!

39' Fathi draws gasps from the home fans following some great footwork down the right.

35' An unmarked Koka heads home a pin point cross from El-Saied for Egypt's third of the night!!!

33' What a chance!!! Koka's strike narrowly misses the target following some good passing featuring the midfield pair Ghaly and Elneny.

30' Fathi cuts inside and sends a trademark left-footed strike that the keeper gets out for corner. 

25' Djimrangar wins a foul from Saad Samir, free kick for Chad.

22' A brilliant team move sees Ghaly send a croosfield ball out to Fathi who plays a delightful one-touch ball to the underlapping Gaber before the keeper denies the latter.

18'  Egypt have lessened the intensity of their attack after going two goals ahead, with the aggregate score 2-1 now.

14' Chad's Djimrangar strikes from outside the box but sees his shot deflected off an Egypt defender...out for corner.

9' Fathi brillinatly skips past his opponent down the right before sending a cross  with this weak right-foot to another onruishing midfielder in El-Saied, who heads home past the keeper. 

9' GOOOOAAALLLLL!!!! Abdalallah El-Saied makes it two!!!

5' A one-two between Fathi and Omar Gaber sees the latter pull the ball back to the unrushing Elneny who finds the net from inside the box!!

5' GOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!!!! Mohamed Elneny scores the opener!!!

3' Fathi evades a handful of challengers but his effort comes to nought.

1' Egypt, as expected, dominating from the outset..

18:25 The national anthems are being played.

18:20 10 minutes till kick off, the national team headed to their dressing rooms.

18:10 A vociferous crowd are cheering the national team after football fans have been long denied the chance to attend any game due to security reasons. 

18:00 The Chad national team are in their dressing rooms while Egypt are still warming up.

17:55 Mostafa Fathi replaces Zakareya down the right, as Abdallah El-Saied will be deployed behind lone striker Koka in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

17:30 The Chad national team have just arrived Borg El-Arab airport just one hour before the game.

17:30 Samir comes in for the injured Dwidar, as Ghaly replaces Hamed in the midfield.

16:40: Chad's ambassador to Egypt has refuted rumours indicating that the visitors have requested to delay the match due to their late arrival. 

16:20 This is the official return of football fans into Egyptian stadiums after a long ban following successive stadium disasters.

16:10 Spectators have started entering into the stadium's stands amid supervision of a private security company while police is securing from outside the stadium

16:00 "Egypt team is not concerned at all with the delay of Chad squad. They are fully concentrated to win and reach the group stage," Egypt's EFA board member Ehab Leheta said on Tuesday.

15:40 Egypt are lacking full strength for the home match as four key players are missing due to injuries, including Zamalek's defender Ahmed Dwidar and striker Bassem Morsi.
