Tanzania beat winless Chad in Egypt's AFCON qualifying group

Tanzania earned their first victory in the Nations Cup qualifiers after claiming a 1-0 away win over Chad on Wednesday.

TP Mazembe striker Mbwana Samatta scored the winner for the visitors in the 30th minute.

Tanzania are third in Group G with four points, on level with Nigeria who face leaders Egypt (6 pts) on Friday.

Egypt and Nigeria meet in Kaduna on Friday before facing each other again on Tuesday at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium. Tanzania will host Tanzania on Monday.
