Egypt increased their World Cup warm-ups to five matches after announcing on Friday that they would face Colombia in June.
The team’s top administrative official Ehab Leheita told local media that Egypt would play against South American powerhouses Colombia on 1 June in Milan, 14 days before they begin their World Cup campaign against Uruguay in Russian city Yekaterinburg.
The Pharaohs have previously announced that they would face Belgium in Brussels on 6 June in their last match before heading to Russia as they make their first World Cup appearance in 28 years.
They will also play European champions Portugal on 23 March before meeting Greece four days later as part of a training camp in Switzerland.
In May, Egypt are scheduled to play against Kuwait in another World Cup warm-up.
“We will not arrange any friendlies other than those five matches,” Leheita told Egyptian sports website FilGoal.com.
Egypt were drawn in Group A of the World Cup along with hosts Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.
