Zamalek forward Mahmoud Abdel-Razek “Shikabala” will be included in Egypt’s squad for the London Olympic Games, coach Hany Ramzy announced on Saturday.
“Shikabala is Egypt’s number one player. He will be with us in London,” Ramzy told Ahram online.
“He will make the difference if we used him in the right way during the Olympics,” the former Egypt defender added.
Ramzy will select mainly U-23 players in the Olympic Games but rules allow for three over-age players to be included.
Egypt reached the Olympic Games for the first time in 20 years after securing a 2-0 victory over Senegal to finish third at the U-23 African Championship in Morocco last year.
