Egypt coach Shawki Gharib has announced his final 21-man squad for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations that will take place in Egypt from 8 to 22 November.
Ahly star winger Ramadan Sobhi leads the Pharaohs squad for this tournament alongside with Zamalek's rising striker Mostafa Mohamed.
Gharib had announced a 27-man preliminary list last Wednesday but decided to drop defenders Mohamed Sadek and Ahmed Ayman and midfielders Ahmed Hamdi and Mohamed Mahmoud, striker Nasser Mansi and goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir from his final cut.
Egypt were drawn in Group A alongside Cameroon, Ghana and Mali while Group B includes Nigeria, Zambia, Ivory Coast and South Africa.
Group A matches will be played at Cairo stadium while Al-Salam stadium will host Group B matches.
The first three teams will qualify for the next year's Olympic Games in Tokyo
Goalkeepers: Omar Radwan (Gouna), Omar Salah (Smouha), Mohamed Sobhi (Zamalek).
Defenders: Ossama Galal (ENPPI), Mahmoud Marei, Ahmed Ramadan (Wadi Degla), Mohamed Abdel-Salam (Zamalek), Karim El-Iraki (Masry), Ahmed Abou El-Fotouh (Smouha), Mahmoud El-Gazzar (Gouna).
Midfielders: Akram Tawfiq (Gouna), Ghanam Mohamed (El-Entag El-Harbi), Amar Hamdi, Ramadan Sobhi (Ahli), Taher Mohamed (Arab Contractors), Nasser Maher (Smouha), Abdel-Rahman Magdi (Ismaily).
Strikers: Mostafa Mohamed (Zamakek), Salah Mohsen (Ahly), Ahmed Yasser (Gouna)
