The Egyptian National team will play their first friendly, in their camp in Qatar, Monday evening against Kenya in El-Gharafa stadium.

The Pharaohs, under American manager Bob Bradley, are preparing for the qualifiers of the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup and they are set to play another two games during their trip, against Niger 27 February and Uganda 3 March.

Egypt delegations asked their supporters in Qatar to attend the friendlies especially because their proceeds will go to Port Said disaster causalities.

More than 74 fans died and almost a thousand injured when Masry crowd stormed the pitch attacking Ahly fans after day-17 league game that was the last as the competition was suspended since then.

“The technical staff are so happy to be in Qatar especially after the warm welcome,” Goalkeeper coach Zaki Abdel-Fattah told Ahram Online.

The winners of seven African titles defeated Kenya 5-1 when they met last time in Nile Basin friendly tournament in Cairo last year.
