Mohamed El-Gabbas, who plays for Belgian side Lierse, has linked up with his Egypt teammates in their training camp in Qatar.
The striker could feature in Egypt’s second friendly game against Niger on Wednesday.
However, the Pharaohs will miss Zamalek trio Ibrahim Salah, Mahmoud Fathallah and Mohamed Abdel-Shafy who have returned to Cairo to take part in their team’s game against Tanzania’s Young Africans in the second leg of the African Champions League preliminary round on Saturday.
Zamalek midfielder Ahmed Hassan stayed with Egypt as he seeks to become the world’s most capped player when he plays against Niger.
Egypt kicked off their training camp with a 5-0 victory over Kenya on Monday.
