Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny and Aston Villa winger Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan will join the Egyptian national team's training camp on Tuesday amid preparations for the double header against Togo, the national team director Mohamed Barakat said.

The Pharaohs, who kicked off their closed training camp on Monday, will host Togo in the 3rd round of the 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on 14 November, with the two sides scheduled to meet again in the 4th round on 17 November.

“Ittihad Jeddah defender Ahmed Hegazi appeared in Monday’s training for only 40 minutes as he played in a match two days ago, while Salah, Elneny, and Trezeguet all arrived in Cairo tonight and will join the trainings starting from Tuesday,” Barakat told ON Time Sports TV channel.

“The players underwent coronavirus testing and the results were negative. All players are serious and determined to prove their worth to play against Togo,” the former Ahly star added.

Olympiacos striker Ahmed 'Kouka' Hassan is also supposed to join the camp on Tuesday.

On Sunday, Egypt's coach announced his final 26-man squad for the double test against Togo.

Under the guidance of El-Badry, Egypt was held to draws by minnows Kenya and Comoros in their opening qualifying games for the next Africa Cup of Nations last year.

Egypt, record seven-time African champion, is due to continue its campaign in the Nations Cup qualifiers, though the final dates of the remaining matches haven’t yet been set yet.
